Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Cardiac Neuro-Acute Tele unit. This full-time night shift role features 12-hour shifts (7p–7a) with rotating holidays, located at 355 Ridge Ave, Evanston, Illinois 60202.

The PCA assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, and helps maintain a safe environment on the unit.

Qualifications

• Current phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as Applicable Required)

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
