Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is hiring a Patient Care Assistant (CNA) for night shifts, 7:00pm-7:30am with rotating weekends, under RN supervision. You will assist patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care while maintaining a safe environment.

The role requires Illinois CNA certification, BLS within 30 days, and knowledge of medical terminology; phlebotomy and EKG certifications are preferred, with at least six months acute care experience recommended.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification (Illinois approved) required.
• Phlebotomy and EKG certification preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required.

3. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.

4. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.

5. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

6. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

7. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
