Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks a part-time Patient Care Assistant for night shifts (7p–7a). 16-36 hours weekly with every fourth weekend and one winter and one summer holiday. Base pay is $19.10/hour plus applicable shift differentials.

The role supports RNs and Care Managers by collecting vitals, documenting data, maintaining safety, HIPAA compliance, and handling unit needs. A STNA license and CPR/BLS are required, with about one year of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of fundamentals course from an approved nursing program or equivalent licensure or experience.
• Active State Tested Nurse Aide License in Ohio or equivalent education or experience.
• Current CPR certification (BLS for healthcare provider).
• One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting within the last three years.

Responsabilités

• Promotes patient safety; holds and positions patients and assists with procedures; prepares materials and supplies as delegated.

• Promotes general patient safety. Holds and positions patients and assists with procedures. Prepares materials and supplies as delegated.
• Remains compliant with HIPAA, maintains professionalism, and ensures confidentiality of patient information.
• Ensures environmental standards are met and all unit and patient areas are stocked, cleaned, and maintained.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks as necessary.
• Completes continuing education and participates in offered educational opportunities. May act as a preceptor and train other staff.

Education Requirement
