Job summary

Cooley Dickinson Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to perform direct and non-direct patient care, clerical, supply, and messenger tasks. The PCA may serve as a patient care observer for safety and works under the Nurse Manager.

Position requires the ability to interact across diverse intellectual levels, maintain competency in telemetry if in CCU, and operate within hospital policies. Onsite at 30 Locust Street, Northampton, MA, 24 weekly hours.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months to one (1) year nursing assistant experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred and secretarial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient care duties under supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with clerical, supply, and messenger tasks as needed.
• Monitor patient safety and may function as a patient care observer when 1:1 supervision is required.
