Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA is hiring a patient care assistant to support nurses and clinicians in daily care activities. This onsite role includes 32-hour weeks across 4x8-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.

The position requires 1–2 years healthcare experience, a High School Diploma or Equivalent, BLS, and LNA (NH) certification. A $750 sign-on bonus is offered; pay is hourly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• BLS Certification is required/preferred.
• Nursing Assistant (LNA - New Hampshire) certification preferred.
• Healthcare experience 1-2 years is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care-related duties including vital signs, EKGs, feeding, bathing, ambulation assistance.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked, clean, and ready for patient care.
• Document patient information such as height, weight, intake/output, and glucose results.
• Assist with equipment setup and reporting malfunctions per policy.
• Communicate with nursing staff regarding patient care and conditions.
