Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support RNs and physicians in delivering safe, compassionate patient care.

Under RN supervision, you will perform vital signs, specimen collection, patient transport, feeding assistance, and documentation while keeping rooms stocked and equipment maintained. This on-site role offers a $750 sign-on bonus and a 40-hour day shift with weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Nursing Assistant (LNA) NH Board of Nursing preferred.
• Healthcare experience 1-2 years required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Typing skills and computer experience required.
• Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Ability to lift and transport patients safely per Safe Patient Handling Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care duties including vital signs, EKGs, bathing and feeding.
• Assist RNs/physicians with examinations and treatments.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, cleaned and equipped as needed.
• Perform specimen collection and document results.
• Document patient information including intake, output, and glucose results.
• Assist with food tray setup and patient meals.
• Communicate with nursing staff about patient condition and care needs.
