Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support clinical care under the supervision of an RN. The role includes patient care, vitals, EKGs, and assistance with exams, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1–2 years healthcare experience; BLS and LNA credentials are preferred. The position is onsite with a 36-hour work week and night shift availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
• BLS Certification - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
• LNA - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred
• Healthcare experience 1-2 years required
• Ability to multitask and handle stress effectively
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care-related duties and document point of care, vital signs and related tasks.
• Assist RNs and physicians with exams and treatments as required.
• Stock and prepare patient rooms; maintain cleanliness and supplies.
• Document patient information such as height, weight, intake/output, and glucose results.
• Assist with meals and feeding when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient care and status.
• Receive and direct medical staff, patients, and visitors.
