Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant program required.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN/LPN including checking vital signs and blood glucose levels.
• Assist with grooming activities including bathing, hair washing and brushing.
• Change and clean patients with incontinence garments and bedpans.
• Assist patients walking, getting out of bed, changing clothing, and eating.
• Transport patients to other areas of the hospital for testing or procedures.
• Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
• Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
