Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of related experience required.
• CNA certification required (Alabama) upon hire.
• BCLS certification obtained through American Red Cross within 30 days required.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information.
• Provides patient comfort by answering call lights and providing nourishment.
• Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
• Adheres to policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and standards.
• Assist residents with routine health directions from a physician, nurse or therapist.
• Supports patients with mobility and daily activities and transport as needed.
• Maintain education as assigned in Healthstream.
• Regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule and overtime as required.
• Related duties as assigned.
