Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to perform supportive patient care and basic nursing tasks within a 36-hour work week. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, transport, and documentation under RN supervision.

Eligibility includes a High School diploma or GED, 6 months of nursing assistant experience (preferred), and AHA Heartsaver AED; non-licensed candidates must obtain before orientation ends. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months of Nursing Assistant/Health Aid experience preferred or currently enrolled in LPN/RN program.
• AHA Heartsaver AED credential required; non-licensed candidates must obtain before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Performs supportive patient care duties including ADLs, hygiene, vital signs, weights, intake/outtake, phlebotomy, glucometer testing, EKGs, positioning, and ambulation of patients.
• Performs transports of patients, medications, supplies, and specimens as requested.
• Documents nursing care activities and reports changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Complies with hospital policies and uses safety equipment properly.
• Stocks and maintains unit supplies.
• Documents observations and activities and reports findings to the RN.
