The Patient Care Assistant II (PCA II) is a certified individual who performs direct patient care within the department. The PCA II maintains current certification in patient care, assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, and helps maintain a safe environment under the supervision of an RN, ensuring activities do not interfere with primary responsibilities like dysrhythmia monitoring.
