Job summary

Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY, part of Cayuga Health, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support direct patient care. You will assist with toileting, ambulation, vital signs, and reinforce patient education to promote safety and quality care.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; BLS is provided if needed. NYS CNA certification preferred. Onsite shifts: one 8-hour shift per week, 12-hour shifts preferred; pay range $19.47–$25.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS training available if needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care including toileting, ambulating, repositioning, monitoring/recording intake and output and vital signs.
• Reinforcing patient education (e.g., incentive spirometer use; fall prevention).
• Maintain clean, organized bedside area for a safe workspace.
• Perform hourly rounds on each patient.
• Complete mandatory Orientation Training: one full week, Mon–Fri, 8a–4p before starting on unit.
