Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification provided if needed.
• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) preferred.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care- Toileting, ambulating, repositioning, monitoring and recording intake and output of fluids, recording patient weight, obtaining vital signs, and reporting abnormal findings to the RN.
• Reinforcing education with patients; i.e. incentive spirometer use, and fall prevention.
• Maintaining a clean and organized patient bedside area to ensure a safe workspace.
• Intentionally rounding on each patient every hour.
