Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, located in Aurora, IL, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support the Medical Surgical department. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, across a full-time day-shift schedule (6:45am–7:15pm) with 3-12 hour shifts.

Requirements include phlebotomy and EKG certifications (preferred), BLS within 30 days, and knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $18.00 to $26.68. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
