Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Northeast Iowa is hiring a Nursing Assistant for full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) at MercyOne Northeast Iowa facilities. You will support the care team and help implement the care plan while rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Job description

Employment Type:

Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift

Schedule:

Full time, 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week)

Night shift 7:00pm - 7:00am

Weekend and holiday rotation required

General Requirements:

• Supports the team in identifying patient needs and implementing the outcome/goal-based plan of care.
• Assists the patient care team in the delivery of care.
• Communicates relevant clinical information to others to optimize patient outcomes/goals.
• Performs unit-based functions as assigned

Education:

• Verification (by transcript or certification) of successful completion of one of the following:Nurse Aide I Course
• Nursing Fundamentals Course
• Nurse Aid Competency Test
• Successful completion of the Trinity Nursing Assistant Program (TNAP)
• Nurse Aide II - Advanced Course is preferred and may be provided post-hire.

Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing their job duties.
