Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Patient Care Assistant (PCA) assists with the needs of the unit, patient, and family. The PCA role supports, supplements, and/or complements patient care provided by licensed nursing staff in acute care units by maintaining supplies, equipment, and the unit environment, performing clerical functions, and assisting RNs in specific direct patient care tasks.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range depends on factors including work experience and internal equity. For union-represented positions, placement is guided by the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range is $30.51 - $38.15 (Hourly Rate).
