Lunder 10 is an integrated thirty-two bed inpatient hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant unit that serves a young adult to elderly patient population. Patients are frequently followed from time of diagnosis or referral through end of life. Many patients have a diagnosis of leukemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, sarcoma, or multiple myeloma.
Sign-on Bonus: $750.00 available
Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Does this position require Patient Care? Yes
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Licenses and Credentials: BLS Certification preferred; other certifications (e.g., Certified Medical Assistant, EMT-B, Nursing Assistant) preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years in patient or elder care preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to follow instructions, knowledge of medical terminology, strong customer service, ability to lift 35 pounds, proficient with electronic medical records.
