Job summary

Capital Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant to support patient care duties in Pennington, NJ. The role includes assisting with ADLs, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and transport, under supervision of RNs and unit protocols.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, six months of NA/Health Aide experience (or current LPN/RN student), and completion of Capital Health UAP Training within 90 days. Eligible benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Six months of Nursing Assistant/Health Aid experience or currently enrolled in LPN/RN nursing program preferred.
• AHA Heartsaver AED.
• Proficient in English, verbal and written communication.
• Capital Health UAP Training program within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs supportive patient care duties including ADLs, patient hygiene, vital signs, obtaining weights, and glucometer testing.
• Performs transports of patients, medications, supplies and specimens as requested.
• Documents observations and activities and reports findings to the RN.
• Stocks and maintains supplies and uses appropriate safety equipment.
