Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service, healthcare, or office experience.
• Experience with medical terminology in a medical billing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promptly reply to and provide accurate information to customers regarding medical bill accounts via inbound and outbound calls, email, fax, mail, or in person.
• Serve as a liaison between patient, providers, external departments or other responsible persons to ensure charts are applied appropriately.
• Record and maintain transactions ensuring account balances and discrepancies are resolved within the prescribed period.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work and persuade debtors on the necessity of assuming financial responsibility.
• Educate the debtor on available payment options and explain the financial impact of various alternatives.
• Provide top-quality customer service experience on every patient inquiry to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Represent the company by providing appropriate levels of competency and professionalism to resolve issues timely and accurately.
• Ensure each call is handled appropriately to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction.
• Other duties as required.
