Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge is seeking a patient billing specialist to assist patients with all billing inquiries in person. You will review charges, discuss options, secure authorizations, and help set up payment arrangements to ensure a smooth financial experience.

The role emphasizes accurate, timely service, clear communication, and the ability to work with diverse teams and locations as needed.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service, healthcare, or office experience required.
• Previous Healthcare Billing/Collections/Customer Service experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist patients face-to-face, via email, fax, mail, and phone with billing inquiries.
• Liaise between patients, providers, and departments to ensure proper charges and balances.
• Obtain timely authorizations and provide estimates for upcoming procedures.
• Educate patients on financial responsibility and available assistance options.
• Deliver Best in Class service to ensure patient satisfaction and timely issue resolution.
