Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Patient Account Representative to manage electronic and manual billings, account statements, and follow-up with third‑party payers and patients for outstanding balances. The role includes preparation of daily cash receipts and maintenance of insurance logs.

Experience in hospital or insurance billing is preferred; high school diploma required. Occasional overtime and flexible hours may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; 2–3 years hospital or insurance billing preferred.
• Experience with patient accounts, computers, and multiple business software programs required.
• Overtime and flexible hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for billing and meet productivity standards.
• Submit insurance billings to primary and secondary payers.
• Transmit billings to third-party payers, manually or electronically.
• Contact payers at 30-day intervals to confirm receipt and processing.
• Follow up with payers at least twice every 30 days for payment status.
• Maintain a tickler/aging system for prompt follow-up on billing cycles.
• Document contacts on a productivity log.
• Update account activity and document changes as needed.
• Provide follow-up on appeals and required documentation.
• Maintain Medicare and Medicaid statistical logs and departmental records.
• Back-up support for other business office teammates.
• Adhere to policies and attend mandatory trainings and maintain confidentiality.
