Job summary

PanCare of Florida is seeking a Patient Accounts Specialist to join our Finance team at the Panama City Corporate Annex. You will be the primary contact for patient billing questions and account support, assisting patients, front desk staff, and employees with billing inquiries, charges, balances, insurance benefits, and payment options.

Your responsibilities include reviewing Sliding Fee Discount Program determinations, delivering training to front desk personnel, maintaining accurate account

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in patient accounts, medical billing, healthcare customer service, or related billing role.
• 1+ year of experience assisting patients with billing questions, account balances, or payment arrangements.
• Associate degree or higher preferred in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical billing software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, emails, and messages from patients and staff regarding billing.
• Explain charges, balances, and insurance benefits to patients clearly.
• Collect payments and resolve barriers on patient accounts.
• Review Sliding Fee Discount Program determinations for policy compliance.
• Document results and maintain exception reports for reviews.
