Logan Health in Kalispell, MT, seeks a PRN Patient Accounting Specialist to coordinate billing, payments and account activities. You will resolve claims and payment issues, process adjustments, and serve as a liaison between patients, providers and payers, delivering outstanding service.

The role requires basic accounting know-how, strong customer service and proficiency with Word, Outlook and Excel, with HIPAA confidentiality a must.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic accounting and ten-key by touch preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills for sensitive situations.
• Proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel and ability to learn other software.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate billing, payments and account activities across assigned areas.
• Resolve insurance claims, denials, and payment issues to maximize reimbursement.
• Process payments, adjustments, appeals and account updates accurately.
• Analyze payment discrepancies and drive timely resolution.
• Review EOBs and payer communications for accuracy.
• Serve as liaison between patients, providers, payers and internal teams.
• Support authorizations, quotes and specialized account requests.
• Maintain accurate account documentation and records.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while meeting productivity and quality goals.
