Job summary

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, ICD-9 coding experience, and knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare insurance, with strong clerical, typing, and communication skills. CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• ICD-9 coding experience preferred.
• Experience with patient services.
• Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare insurance, collections and setup.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Strong clerical, typing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Register new client on Intergy as per guidelines issued by CHI.
• Research files for previous enrollment in CHI system before creating a new medical record number.
• Renew or update existing client profiles as per guidelines issued by CHI.
• Perform financial screening on active clients requesting services.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and address past due debts as needed.
• Check-in clients for needed medical services and check-out after services.
• Process patient payments and balance daily batches.
• Submit daily journal to supervisor and deposit daily batches to Accounting.
