Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years customer service experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Customer-focused with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• 1-3 years healthcare business office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document all inquiries from patients and third party payers.
• Act as first line of support for questions about accounts or claims.
• Root cause issues and attempt to resolve.
• Document and communicate resolution in the Patient Accounting System.
• Escalate problem accounts to management for assistance and resolution.
• Communicate resolution to responsible parties or guarantors.
• Respond within 24 hours to patient inquiries with status updates.
• Work with facility and departments to resolve inquiries.
• Maintain knowledge of call routing and patient accounting system.
• Other duties as assigned.
