Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans seeks a Clerk Financial Services in the SBO department to deliver excellent customer experiences. The role focuses on responding to inquiries, verification of coverage, and payment collection, supporting the Financial Assistance process, and pursuing a one-touch resolution.

Requires a High School diploma and at least 3 years in a healthcare business office or customer service/collections, with Epic and Microsoft applications experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a healthcare business office setting or customer service/collections.
• Epic and Microsoft applications experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, co-workers, and staff to provide excellent customer service.
• Verify coverage, collect payments, and handle inquiries efficiently.
• Resolve issues and triage escalations to appropriate teams as needed.
• Review and process self-pay balances and refunds; set up payment plans.
• Support Financial Assistance processes and ensure accurate account workqueues.
