Responsibilities

• Engages in core revenue cycle functions such as billing, claims filing, data entry, charge entry, insurance follow up, denial management, payment posting, and customer service.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations and department guidelines.
• Prepares and submits clean claims to insurance companies in an accurate and timely manner.
• Processes assigned reports and patient accounts with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborates with management and coworkers in a positive and open manner.
• Communicate with patients regarding their accounts, answer billing questions, and provide information on payment options.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, coordinating with insurers to resolve discrepancies.
