• Engages in core revenue cycle functions such as billing, claims filing, data entry, charge entry, insurance follow up, denial management, payment posting, customer service, and billing records review.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Complies with department policies and procedures for revenue cycle duties.
• Prepares and submits clean claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper accurately and timely.
• Processes reports and patient accounts with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Communicates with patients about their accounts and provides information on payment options.
