Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a medical business office with insurance processing and balancing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Audit patient accounts to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
• Review account aging and correct inconsistencies.
• Contact patients regarding delinquent accounts and arrange payment plans.
• Follow up on insurance billing for timely receipt of payments and handle sensitive financial inquiries.
• Handle patient billing complaints, process adjustments, and pursue refunds as needed.
• Prepare write-off requests with proper documentation and escalate to supervisor.
• Coordinate with insurance companies and respond promptly to information requests.
• Identify account problems and drive toward resolution.
• Monitor refund accounts and ensure proper recipients for refunds.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient account information and perform other duties as assigned.
