Qualifications

• 3 years of medical business office experience with insurance procedures and patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Insurance verification and eligibility information collection and entry.
• Obtain initial and subsequent pre-authorization for services and surgeries.
• Re-verifies benefits and obtains authorization and/or referral before treatment.
• Perform financial counseling on patients prior to treatment, including financial obligations and payment arrangements.
• Document financial counseling and forward to Billing Office.
• Assist patients in obtaining financial assistance and external support services.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles and other out-of-pocket amounts at visit.
