Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center seeks a PFS Self-Pay Biller to be the hospital's primary contact for patient billing inquiries and account resolution. You will explain billing statements and help patients understand practices and policies.

You will verify insurance, collect payments, set up payment plans, and ensure accurate posting in the billing system while maintaining HIPAA compliance and exceptional customer service across the Findlay campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years in medical billing and collections or equivalent.
• Certified Patient Financial Services Specialist within 12 months.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to assess patient needs across age groups.

Responsabilités

• Respond to patient inquiries about billing procedures and statements.
• Follow scripts to resolve accounts and prepare billing correspondence.
• Verify insurance to ensure accurate billing and patient balances.
• Negotiate payments and set up payment plans; record transactions.
• Explain payer regulations and EOB details to patients.
• Handle cashier functions when needed at the Findlay campus.
• Monitor productivity and participate in staff meetings and training.
