Job summary

DRH Health is seeking a team member to collect patient payments, set up payment plans, and post patient payments. You will work within the revenue cycle to ensure accurate posting and timely follow-up on balances.

Responsibilities include communicating with patients about balances, assisting with account questions, and coordinating charity care applications to support affordability. Strong clerical and EHR skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Fluency in oral and written English is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in medical claims recovery and/or collections preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately posts client and patient payments and creates payment plans for upcoming services and/or outstanding balances.
• Reviews balances and communicates to patient and other affected parties about outstanding balances.
• Assists patients in resolving account questions and concerns.
• Coordinate and complete financial assistance applications for charity care.
• Understands the revenue cycle and escalation pathways.
• Contact patients to obtain information needed to resolve insurance balances.
• Post payments electronically and manually.
• Process creditor’s claims by watching for death notices and placing claims on estates.
