Job summary

Palmetto Infusion, a Birmingham-based provider of ambulatory and home-based infusion services, seeks a Patient Account Representative to manage patient balance resolutions. You will communicate with patients, send statements, and drive timely payments within a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM).

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, collections experience, and proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Experience in collecting patient balances and refunds.
• Ability to stay composed in a changing environment while meeting deadlines.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel to manage accounts.

Responsibilities

• Refund patient credits as part of daily workflow.
• Communicate with patients to send statements and collect balances.
• Prepare final notices for outstanding balances.
• Submit outstanding accounts to collection agency.
• Review and post unapplied cash.
• Set up and monitor payment plans to ensure terms are met.
• Participate in end-of-month closing procedures.
