Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of health care billing experience is required.
• Experience with the claim denial/accounts receivable process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and processes refund requests.
• Uses systems to identify and capture documents for charges/claims.
• Data entry for billing and claims functions including charge entry and payment posting.
• Answers calls from patients, insurers, or others about claims or billing issues.
• Provides routine reports, monthly and ad-hoc, using practice management or external reporting tools.
• Performs precertification for scheduled procedures and communicates balances due.
• Supports Compliance Program for Professional Fee Reimbursement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
