Job summary

Hawai'i Pacific Health is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support the Revenue Cycle team at First Insurance Center. You will perform billing and account follow-up for a fixed portion of the accounts receivable cycle, and submit claims to third-party payers and patients.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of billing or collections experience, working knowledge of CPT and ICD coding, and a commitment to accurate, timely patient billing and insurance processing.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of billing or collections experience.
• Working knowledge of health insurance processing of CPT and ICD codes.

Responsibilities

• Billing and account follow-up activity for a generally fixed portion of the accounts receivable cycle.
• Accurate and timely preparation and submission of claims and statements to third party payers and patients/guarantors.
• Follow-up on accounts receivables with third party payers and patients to complete the insurance collection process.
