Grand River Health in Rifle, Colorado is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative to be the first contact for Patient Financial Services, assisting patients with billing questions and insurance information while ensuring a positive experience.

You will greet patients, update demographics, review claims, apply adjustments, collect payments, and provide administrative support across phone, email, fax, and electronic systems. A detail-oriented, confidential approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; healthcare setting experience a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, helpful approach.
• Basic computer, math, and office skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and document formatting.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and learn department systems within six months.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and respond to inquiries; update demographic and insurance information.
• Review claims for billing requirements and assist patients with questions and updates.
• Collect and report payments; follow up on outstanding balances; assist with insurance tasks.
• Provide administrative support via phone, email, fax, and electronic systems.
• Maintain relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, and community; support PFS leadership.
