Job summary

Grand River Health in Rifle, CO is hiring a Patient Accounts Representative for our Patient Financial Services team. You’ll be the first contact for patients, guiding them through billing questions, insurance details, and account needs.

You will greet patients, review claims, update records, collect payments, and provide administrative support across channels including phone, email, and fax. HIPAA compliance and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; healthcare experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication in a professional, helpful manner.
• Basic computer, math, and office skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and document formatting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and answer inquiries, update demographic and insurance information, and direct questions to the right team.
• Review claims for billing requirements, follow up on accounts, apply adjustments, and assist with billing questions.
• Collect and report payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and assist with insurance-related tasks.
