Job summary

Hawaii Pacific Health in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage the accounts receivable cycle for our First Insurance Center location. This full-time role emphasizes accurate claims submission and proactive follow-up with patients and third-party payers.

You will handle inquiries, ensure timely processing of CPT/ICD codes, and support high-quality patient billing experience across Hawaii’s health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of billing or collections experience.
• Working knowledge of health insurance processing and CPT/ICD coding.

Responsibilities

• Billing and account follow-up for a portion of the accounts receivable cycle.
• Accurate and timely preparation and submission of claims and statements to third party payers and patients/guarantors.
• Follow-up on accounts receivable with third party payers and patients to complete the insurance collection process.
• Handle third party payer and patient questions/concerns appropriately.
• Maintain compliance with billing regulations and organizational guidelines.
