You will document information, assist with admissions, and participate in CQI activities within a major regional hospital network. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–3 years of related experience, and strong clerical skills including 40 wpm typing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years related experience preferred.
• Typing speed of 40 wpm and basic clerical/computer skills required. Medical terminology helpful.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient coverage eligibility and benefits for hospital services.
• Arrange efficient pre-admission for inpatients and outpatients.
• Document all insurance information on face sheets clearly and completely.
• Notify case management for authorization and concurrent review daily.
