Verbally redirects patient accordingly and contacts appropriate personnel per department procedure and protocol as applicable to assigned area(s).* Provides care to patient based on the treatment plan and within scope of practice as applicable to assigned area(s). Multitasks and prioritizes simultaneous situations.* Ensures patient environment safety and seeks assistance per department procedure.* Works with the nursing staff to set and maintain patient care, work priorities and a changing workload.* As applicable to assigned area(s): Continuously observes patient’s activities and behaviors, either physically with patient or monitoring by camera. Provides regular updates to nurse per protocol. Reports all changes in patient’s behavior to nursing staff and accurately documents behaviors as directed* Adheres and upholds all organizational customer service policies and standards while caring for patients and interacting with others.* Exhibits a good working knowledge of instruments, equipment, etc. as applicable to assigned area(s).* Removes contaminated materials and properly cleans surfaces per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).* Performs stocking and restocking of supplies as applicable to assigned area(s).* As applicable to Activities assignment:* Assesses patient for relevant physical and cognitive abilities that may affect personalized activity programs.* Designs activities for patients of different abilities, personal preferences, and individual and/or group settings.The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification.
