## Patient Attendant | PRN Status 12hr/DaysApplyremote type: On-Sitelocations: Kalispell, Montanatime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: Req18031This position assists and aides in the day-to-day activities as applicable to assigned area(s).**Our Mission**: Quality, compassionate care for all.**Our Vision**: Reimagine health care through connection, service and innovation.**Our Core Values**: Be Kind | Trust and Be Trusted | Work Together | Strive for Excellence.**Qualifications:*** Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting or related experience preferred.* Healthcare Provider CPR certification or must successfully obtain as applicable to assigned area(s).* Possess ability to make independent judgments and multitask in a fast-paced environment and under stressful situations at times.* Understanding of the confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, including but not limited to HIPAA guidelines.* Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.* Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.* Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.**Job Specific Duties:*** Communicates effectively with others while maintaining discretion, courtesy and an understanding of patient privacy.* Maintains visual observation of assigned patient(s) and as applicable to assigned area(s). Verbally redirects patient accordingly and contacts appropriate personnel per department procedure and protocol as applicable to assigned area(s).* Provides care to patient based on the treatment plan and within scope of practice as applicable to assigned area(s). Multitasks and prioritizes simultaneous situations.* Ensures patient environment safety and seeks assistance per department procedure.* Works with the nursing staff to set and maintain patient care, work priorities and a changing workload.* As applicable to assigned area(s): Continuously observes patient’s activities and behaviors, either physically with patient or monitoring by camera. Provides regular updates to nurse per protocol. Reports all changes in patient’s behavior to nursing staff and accurately documents behaviors as directed* Adheres and upholds all organizational customer service policies and standards while caring for patients and interacting with others.* Exhibits a good working knowledge of instruments, equipment, etc. as applicable to assigned area(s).* Removes contaminated materials and properly cleans surfaces per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).* Performs stocking and restocking of supplies as applicable to assigned area(s).* As applicable to Activities assignment:* Assesses patient for relevant physical and cognitive abilities that may affect personalized activity programs.* Designs activities for patients of different abilities, personal preferences, and individual and/or group settings.The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification. Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position.Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.**Shift:**Day Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America)**Schedule: PRN Status 12hour Day Shift**Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program.
