Vance Thompson Vision is seeking a Patient Advocate to join our team in North Dakota. You\'ll verify insurance coverage, prepare surgery schedules, and provide cost estimates to patients while ensuring in-network benefits and accurate documentation.

You are detail‑oriented, an exceptional communicator, and motivated to help patients navigate financial responsibilities. Join a team that values care, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact on patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical office setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Verify insurance coverage and determine in-network status prior to patient arrival.
• Complete insurance verification forms with correct benefit information (deductible, co-pay, coinsurance).
• Prepare surgery schedules and post-operative appointments.
• Provide cost estimates to patients for financial responsibility.
• Create daily reports to confirm network status and obtain referrals/prior authorizations when needed.
• Answer patient calls promptly and address concerns.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• - Verifying insurance coverage prior to patient arrival for evaluation and determining if the clinic or surgery center are in or out of network for patients.
• - Completing insurance verification forms with correct benefit information, including deductible, co-pay and/or coinsurance.
• - Preparing surgery schedules and scheduling post-operative appointments for patients.
• - Providing estimates to patients on financial responsibility.
• - Creating daily reports of evaluations to verify insurance is within network and obtaining referrals and prior authorizations from policies that require it.
• - Answering patient phone calls promptly and addressing patient concerns.
• - Obtaining proper insurance information and providing fee schedules and insurance information to patients.
• - Preparing, maintaining, retrieving, and distributing medical records as needed.
• - Ensuring all preoperative testing and documentation is completed prior to procedure.
• - Processing Mission Vision and patient assistant program applications for patients.

You Have:

• - A high school diploma or equivalent
• - Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
