Job summary

Monterey Park Hospital, part of AHMC Healthcare Inc., seeks an Admitting Representative for the Admitting Department. This full-time role requires handling patient arrivals, entering data into the ADT system, and verifying insurance details across ER, outpatient, and transfers.

The position involves evenings, graveyard, and weekend shifts with variable days off, reporting to the Admitting Director. Strong customer service and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS (AHA) and AB508 certifications must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Knowledge of patient registration process.
• Knowledge of HMOs, PPO, Capitation, Medi-Cal, Medicare, Worker's Comp., HIPAA & EMTALA.
• Excellent customer service, above-average collection skills, bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients on arrival and register them into the hospital ADT system.
• Verify and validate patient information, including insurance details.
• Deliver information to service units and coordinate with ER, outpatient, and transfers.
• Take PBX rotations as needed.
