Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking an Admissions Clerk to manage the efficient admission of inpatients, outpatients and emergency department admissions. You will collect patient information and ensure patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients, entering data into the system, and distributing information to ancillary departments.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Excellent customer services skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients, outpatients and emergency department admissions.
• Ensure that patient information is collected and patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.
• Interview incoming patient or representatives and enter information required for admission into computer database.
