Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Reno is seeking an Admissions Clerk to support the admissions office on a PRN day shift, with weekend/holiday coverage as needed. You will handle referrals, intake, verification and pre-certification, coordinating the admissions process and serving as a back-up to the Admissions Manager.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification, and at least 1 year in a medical office or healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; business/technical school preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge and insurance verification process knowledge required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide admissions office support for the facility.
• Manage referral, intake, verification, pre-certification, and admissions process.
• Serve as back-up to the Admissions Manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
