Hillsboro Medical Center in Hillsboro, OR, seeks an Admitting Representative to welcome patients, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and initiate registration to support clinical care.

This on-site role requires excellent communication with diverse patients, accurate data entry, and strong customer service. Previous EMR experience and CHAA certification are preferred, with flexibility for weekend on-call shifts.

Competenze

• Six months of work experience in a medical office setting with high-volume patient contact, or one year in a high-volume public-contact role.
• Preferred EMR experience and CHAA certification.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills for diverse populations.

Mansioni

• Accurately completes compliance documentation for patient admissions as required.
• Obtains signatures on registration documents as applicable.
• Registers patients according to physician orders.
• Maintains equipment and reports failures promptly for repairs.
• Collects co-pays or deposits per EMTALA laws and policy; drops off money timely.
• Scans insurance cards and photo IDs into patient accounts.
• Verifies insurance using electronic systems.
• Performs registration auditing as needed.
• Maintains policy manuals and reference materials for quick lookup.
• Asks patients for required information and captures accurate demographics.
• Distributes workers compensation documents as required by payers.
• Responds to customer needs in person and by phone courteously.
• Maintains integrity and security of the facility and its contents.
• Monitors alarms and reports to engineering when needed.
