Job summary

Under the CFO, you will manage pre-admission processes, authorizations, and documentation, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2-5 years experience in healthcare business office setting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers patients for admissions and outpatient procedures, obtaining required authorizations and verifying third party coverage eligibility, and forwards documentation to appropriate locations.
• Interviews patients or representatives for unscheduled services to obtain personal information and verify existing records.
• Prepares and sends letters to motor vehicle accident patients to obtain information required to process claims.
• Creates and processes registrations for other departments outside the acute hospital when necessary or assigned.
• Obtains signatures on Conditions of Admission and initiates the advance directive process; informs nursing when information is not available.
