Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families promptly and courteously on arrival at the hospital.
• Answers the telephone, provides requested information or takes messages, and directs callers to appropriate personnel.
• Explains admission forms and patient rights and living will questions.
• Reviews patient forms for completeness, accuracy and signatures.
• Collects deposits and/or co-pays per guidelines.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding patients, physicians, staff and hospital.
