Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services is seeking a Hospital Scheduler at Dallas Medical Center in Farmers Branch to manage patient appointments, clinic visits, and surgical scheduling Monday through Friday. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect information, enter demographics, and coordinate with departments for tests and procedures.

A background in hospital scheduling and medical terminology is preferred, with strong clerical and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Customer service experience required.
• Strong clerical and computer skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and clinic visits, including surgery, GI Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Infusion, or other locations.
• Greet and register patients, verify personal/medical/insurance information, and obtain necessary signatures on consent forms and billing authorizations.
• Enter accurate patient demographics and insurance details into the computer system; ensure data integrity.
• Coordinate with departments to arrange equipment, instrumentation and supplies for scheduled surgeries.
• Prepare and distribute the surgical schedule and on-call list to appropriate departments.
