Job summary

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC) is seeking an Admissions Clerk to support patient intake in a busy hospital setting. You will collect demographics, verify insurance, obtain signatures, and ensure proper authorizations are documented.

Responsibilities include placing ID bracelets, processing payments, and assisting with patient discharge. EPIC EHR experience and at least one year in hospital admissions are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of experience in admissions in a hospital or medical office setting.
• EPIC EHR experience required.
• One year of Primary Care Experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain demographics, insurance information and signatures from patients; receive authorization form and obtain authorizations.
• Place ID bracelets on patients' wrists; collect payments and discharge patients.
• Assist with patient intake and ensure accurate data entry in the EMR system.
