Job summary

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada is seeking an Admitting-Discharge Representative for the Crisis Stabilization Center. You will collect demographics and insurance data, obtain signatures and authorizations, place ID bracelets, collect payments, and discharge patients.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year in hospital admissions. It’s a full-time position with a strong benefits package across Nevada ambulatory clinics.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of admissions experience in a hospital or medical office.
• Knowledge of office procedures, medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with diverse patients under stressful conditions.

Responsibilities

• Obtain demographics, insurance information and signatures from patients.
• Receive authorization forms and obtain authorizations; place ID bracelets as needed.
• Collect payments and discharge patients.
